Sumaiyah Solkar is the project lead for the Active Madrassah workstream, from Together an Active Future, a Local Delivery Pilot for Sport England. The purpose of her role is to support Madrassahs to embed physical activity, sport and play in to their settings and to help them overcome barriers by understanding their needs and sensitivities.

Sumaiyah holds a Masters in Education and Education, Management and Leadership and has significant experience of teaching at Madrassah and secondary education level in addition to her mentoring and chaplaincy work.
